Micro Story #20 || The 13th Gear

          I did the math in my head. Yup, it had been one year since my 18-gear mountain bike had been stolen. Now, here I stood standing in front of it, propped up against the brick wall outside of Arby’s. At first glance, it appeared to be in perfect working order… and not locked up.  I grabbed the handle bars, got a running start, hopped on, and started pedaling. Someone came barreling out of the Arby’s, screaming, but I was already long gone. I dropped down into 13th gear. Then, my face dropped. My old bike only had 12 gears.

About

I'm a writer, a producer and a digital project manager.

Media and entertainment of all kinds occupy my professional time, including comics, interactive, online, mobile, gaming, traditional and social. Come to think of it, that goes for my personal time as well.

I have an ongoing 365-project, where I write one micro story a day for a year. If you dig on flash fiction, as I do, feel free check out some of my stories. If you want to know what the heckfire I'm talking about, here's more info on flash fiction.

Within the project, I have a few ongoing series of micro stories. To get caught up on any of them, click a link below and start at the bottom of the page:
  • Only At Night
  • The Hollows
  • Noire
  • Gettysburg

    Also, I like to run long distances... for fun.
